A total of seven people were treated Saturday for the suspected drug overdose of 2CP, a powerful hallucinogenic, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported Sunday.
Four people became seriously ill simultaneously at around 10:30 p.m. after the start of the show, dubbed "Adventure Land" in Middlebury, Conn. One male teenager was found to be without breath or a pulse.
Police arrested a New Milford Man, Kyle Stoddard, 30, for allegedly interfering with a officer while authorities were trying to treat the victims.
The concert featured musical acts by Nicky Twist, Midas and DJ Knowledge, the Courant reported. The show was organized by Tight Crew, a production company in Rhode Island.
"We have a strict zero tolerance policy towards drug use and violence. We want everyone to have a fun/safe experience at each event," Tight Crew's website said.
"We carefully scrutinized the history of the production firm, and indications were the company had presented numerous similar events without incident," the amusement park said in a statement. "The park is grateful for the Middlebury police and the emergency responders for the handling of this incident."
