EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- A hearing was postponed for an Eau Claire, Wis., man accused of sexually assaulting and impregnating a teen who police say later killed her newborn baby.
The preliminary hearing for Larry L. Johnson, 48, in Eau Claire County Court was moved from Tuesday to next week after his appointed lawyer, Erika Bahnson, requested the move.
Police only provided information the girl, 15, used homicidal actions to kill the baby by asphyxiation at her residence, and are not revealing her name or relationship to Johnson, the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram reported Wednesday..
An autopsy revealed the near-full-term baby was born alive and then killed.
Johnson, a prior sex offender, is charged with sexual assault-related crimes, and failure to report information as a sex offender.
The criminal complaint against Johnson said he and the girl lived together for several years, and that he admitted sexual contact with her beginning when she was 11, and intercourse when she was 14.
