SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- The father of a 3-month-old boy who died after being locked in a car in Scottsdale, Ariz., in 102-degree heat was arrested, police said.

Daniel Bryant Gray, 31, was charged Thursday with manslaughter and child abuse in the death of his son, Jamison, Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said.

The child was found unconscious in the vehicle outside of BT's Sports Pub Wednesday and died later, KPHO-TV, Phoenix reported.

Police said they believe Gray lost track of time while smoking marijuana with a friend for about an hour while Jamison was in the car.
