TAUNTON, Mass., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Two people were killed Sunday when a small plane went down at a Massachusetts airport, police in Taunton said.
The plane crashed and burned a short distance off the runway at Taunton Municipal Airport, killing both occupants.

Investigators believe the plane was taking off around dawn when it crashed for unknown reasons, New England Cable News said.
The Federal Aviation Administration took over the investigation into the crash.
