Andrea Sneiderman guilty of 9 charges

Aug. 19, 2013 at 3:30 PM   |   Comments

DECATUR, Ga., Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Andrea Sneiderman, charged in her husband's 2010 murder, was found guilty on nine of 13 counts Monday by a DeKalb County, Ga., jury.

Sneiderman showed no emotion as she learned she had been found guilty of charges including perjury, making a false statement and hindering the apprehension of a criminal, CNN reported.

Prosecutors say she lied to investigators working on her husband's murder case because of an affair she was having with Hemy Neuman, her former boss. Neuman was found guilty in 2012 of shooting Sneiderman's husband, Rusty, to death outside an Atlanta-area day care center.

Sneiderman originally faced charges including malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault, all related to her husband's death. Prosecutors dropped those charges earlier this week, CNN said.

She will be sentenced Tuesday.
