2 hospitalized after bees attack eight people in Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- A swarm of aggressive bees attacked eight people in Fort Worth, Texas, resulting in two people being hospitalized, officials said.

All of the attacks happened Sunday afternoon in one Fort Worth neighborhood, WFAA-TV, Dallas/Fort Worth, reported.

Fire department officials said they responded to six emergency calls involving bee sting victims.

One of the victims, an elderly man, was stung more than 100 times and had to be hospitalized.

A paramedic who is allergic to bees was also hospitalized.
