Polish man repatriated after serving time for fake bomb threats in U.S

CHICAGO, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- A Polish national who had falsely claimed he could blow up a Chicago bridge during the NATO summit in the city in May 2012 has been deported, officials said.

Sebastian Senakiewicz, 25, was accompanied by officers of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when he was returned to Warsaw, ICE said in a statement released Thursday.

Senakiewicz, who was in the United States illegally, was arrested May 17, 2012, by Chicago police on charges of making a false terrorist threat to blow up a train overpass. He claimed he had built two explosive devices that were hidden in a hollowed-out book at his residence.

He pleaded guilty in Cook County Circuit Court in November. His four-year sentence was later reduced to a term in the county's boot camp.

ICE officers arrested him in July after he released from the camp.

Senakiewicz is a member of the "Black Bloc" anarchist group, the statement said.
