The storm was 1,285 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii, and 1,735 miles west of the southern tip of Baja California, the center said in an advisory issued at 2 p.m. PDT.
Henriette is a minimal cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph moving west-northwest 12 mph.
The hurricane is moving into an area of colder sea surface temperatures and was expected to weaken over the next two days.
