Man suspected of killing women in Cleveland indicted

CLEVELAND, July 30 (UPI) -- A Cleveland man suspected of killing three women and dumping their bodies was formally charged Monday with six counts of aggravated murder.

A Cuyahoga County grand jury also charged Michael Madison, 35, with kidnapping Shetisha Sheeley, Angela H. Deskins and Shirellda Terry and abusing their corpses, WKYC-TV, Cleveland, reported. The 14-count indictment included a single count of rape and a weapons charge.

Madison, a convicted sexual offender, was separately charged with failing to report a change of address, prosecutor Timothy McGinty said.

The women's bodies, wrapped in plastic bags, were found in East Cleveland July 19-20. Madison was arrested July 19.

A judge set bail at $1 million.
