Ex-Tiffany's executive admits stealing $2.1 million worth of jewelry

NEW YORK, July 28 (UPI) -- Former Tiffany's executive Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun has pleaded guilty in New York to stealing $2.1 million in jewelry from the prestigious company.

Lederhaas-Okun, 46, faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine after entering her guilty plea in U.S. District Court Friday, the New York Daily News reported.

Authorities said Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun, who was Tiffany's vice president for product development, took about 165 jewels from the company's office to her home in Darien, Conn., and sold most of them to a reseller.
