WASHINGTON, July 20 (UPI) -- A Danish teenager squeezed in an apology to an Italian judge this week before being run out of town for defacing a wall of the landmark cathedral in Pisa.
The young tourist was arrested Wednesday for carving his name on the marble wall of the Medieval cathedral.

He appeared in court Friday and paid a fine to have the damage repaired. He expressed his apologies to the judge, who nevertheless ordered him to leave the city immediately, Italy's ANSA news service said.
