LANCASTER, Pa., July 15 (UPI) -- A 5-year-old girl kidnapped in Lancaster, Pa., was released after two teenagers on bicycles chased the alleged abductor's car, police said.

Jocelyn Rojas vanished Thursday afternoon, authorities saying she was taken from her front lawn by a man in a car promising ice cream. Police and neighbors engaged in a search of the neighborhood, as did Temar Boggs, 15, and a friend, on their bicycles, CNN reported.

A half-mile away from the site of the alleged abduction, the boys on their bicycles spotted the girl in a car, Boggs said.

"Every time we'd go down the street, he'd turn back around, and then, we'll follow him," the teen told WGAL-TV, Lancaster, Pa.

The two chased the car for about 15 minutes before the driver, apparently aware he has being followed, released the girl.

"He stopped at the end of the hill and let her out, and she ran to me and said that she needed her mother," Boggs said.

Police say they still are seeking the suspect, described as a white male 50 to 70 years old.
