SEATTLE, July 8 (UPI) -- A Seattle couple, seeking the return of a large American flag stolen Thursday, say it had draped the casket of their son, a Vietnam War casualty.
Duff and Sharon Kennedy returned home from watching Independence Day fireworks and found the 6-foot-by-10-foot flag, unfurled in front of their home, missing, KING-TV, Seattle, reported.

Duff Kennedy said the flag was used to drape the casket of his son Roger, who was killed in Vietnam in 1972.
"The flag was the one that was given to us by the military," he said.
They added the person who took the flag likely was not aware of how special it was to them, adding they would buy a flag for whoever returns it.
