FBI investigates bomb threat on plane

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 4 (UPI) -- Authorities said they investigated a bomb threat on a US Airways flight at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.

The threat was made on board US Airways flight 114 from Boston to Charlotte, and the flight landed in Charlotte at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, WCNC-TV, Charlotte, reported.

FBI agents took one man into federal custody and said they finished questioning the man shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The passenger will not be facing federal charges at this time, the FBI said.

The other 190 passengers were deplaned safely and bused to their terminal, WCNC-TV said.
