The third fatality occurred at 1:15 p.m. when a man in his 20s was shot while sitting in a vehicle, police spokesman Michael Sullivan said.
In a 3 p.m. shooting, a 20-year-old man was critically wounded when a bullet struck him in the head, O'Brien said, while a 19-year-old and an 18-year-old were seriously wounded in yet another shooting shortly after 2 p.m.
