Texas teen allegedly confessed to killing boy, 5, with bowling ball

FORTH WORTH, Texas, June 29 (UPI) -- A 13-year-old Texas boy confessed he used a bowling ball to kill a 5-year-old neighbor, court documents revealed Friday.

A summary of the case read at a detention hearing stated the Fort Worth teenager admitted striking Sida Osman on the head twice with a bowling ball, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. The confession allegedly was made after people found the teen suspect crying.

The attack occurred in a fenced back yard of a vacant house after the teen became irritated with the 5-year-old.

Sida's body was found Wednesday, about 18 hours after he was last seen riding his bicycle, the newspaper said.

Associate Judge Kim Brown ordered the teen, whose name has not been released because of his age, be held in custody.
