SCARSDALE, N.Y., June 29 (UPI) -- A New York mother of two daughters, ages 3 and 13, has pleaded not guilty to charges of growing about $3 million worth of marijuana, officials said.

Andrea Sanderlin, 45, of Scarsdale, N.Y., was arrested May 20 after authorities raided a New York warehouse and found $3 million worth of pot, ABC News reported.

The suspect, who has been referred to as "pot mom" since her arrest, was charged with manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, as well as maintaining a facility where marijuana was grown and processed, the U.S. Attorney's Office Eastern District of New York said.

It was unclear how Sanderlin allegedly began running the operation, ABC News said.

Sanderlin pleaded not guilty Friday.

A trial is tentatively scheduled to begin July 15. If convicted, Sanderlin faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and $10 million in fines.
