Hoping to harness the buying power of the "street" or "sport" truck market, Ford has announced plans to launch its F-150 Tremor truck this fall.

Though the company hasn't released pricing details, the Tremor will serve as a smaller, alternative option for truck buyers who don't want to invest in the Raptor, which Automotive News described as "over-the-top, off-road performance truck."

“The new Tremor gives F-150 customers yet another option to drive a highly capable, distinctive performance truck with features typically found only in the aftermarket,” product marketing manager Brian Bell said in a statement. “Plus, the Built Ford Tough EcoBoost engine is available for the first time in a short-wheelbase F-150.”
