Texas group wants Casey Anthony to give deposition

TAMPA, Fla., June 22 (UPI) -- A Texas organization that searches for missing people wants to question Casey Anthony and her parents about the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter.

Texas EquuSearch filed notices in federal bankruptcy requesting that Casey, George and Cindy Anthony be required to give depositions, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Friday. The group has sued Anthony for $110,000 it spent hunting for Caylee Anthony after her mother reported she had been kidnapped by a babysitter.

Anthony was acquitted in 2011 of her daughter's murder. During her trial, she testified Caylee drowned accidentally in her parents' swimming pool, and her father begged her to cover up the death.

Caylee's skeletal remains were found months later in a swamp near the Anthony home in Orlando.

Anthony, believed to be living in the St. Petersburg, Fla., area, filed for bankruptcy this year. She said she owes $800,000, with most of the debt to her defense lawyer, and listed Texas EquuSearch as a creditor.

TES has objected to the bankruptcy filing. Peter Russin, the group's lawyer, said his client was a victim of fraud.
