COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 22 (UPI) -- The steel frame of an equine center being built at Texas A&M University collapsed Saturday, injuring four workers, one critically, officials said.
The construction site accident occurred about 10:50 a.m., the Houston Chronicle reported. The injured workers were among 25-30 working on the 300-foot-long barn building, the College Station Fire Department said in a statement.
A 35-year-old man was in critical condition, two 22-year-old men were in stable condition, and a 32-year-old man was treated and released, hospital spokesman Tim Ottinger said.
The cause of the accident was under investigation, the newspaper said.
