June 21, 2013 at 1:58 PM

HOLLYWOOD, June 21 (UPI) -- Prosecutors have charged three men in the fatal stabbing of a woman who refused to give them money after photographing them on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Christine Calderon, 23, of Lynwood, Calif., was stabbed to death Tuesday evening after she and a friend took pictures of the three transients holding amusing signs. One of the men demanded she pay to take their photos, and when she refused, they allegedly pinned her against a wall and stabbed her, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.

Dustin James Kinnear, 26, was charged with murder. Jason Joel Wolstone, 33, faces one count of assault and two counts of accessory after the fact, and Brian Joseph Widdoes, 34, was charged with two counts of accessory after the fact in their first courtroom appearance Thursday.

Calderon's death in the heart of Hollywood's tourist district stunned visitors and shocked area merchants and street performers, the Los Angeles times reported Friday.
