Obama schedule for Wednesday, June 19

WASHINGTON, June 19 (UPI) -- President Obama's schedule Wednesday included meetings in Germany with U.S. Embassy personnel and German dignitaries, the White House said.

The daily schedule indicated Obama would:

-- Meet, with first lady Michelle Obama, with U.S. Embassy personnel at the Ritz-Carlton, Berlin,

-- Visit the Schloss Bellevue where he would sign a guest book and meet with German President Joachim Gauck.

-- Visit the German Chancellery for a meeting and joint news conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel before having a working lunch with Merkel in the afternoon.

-- Speak at the Brandenburg Gate.

-- Sign the Golden Book of Berlin at the Commerzbank Building.

-- Meet with Peer Steinbrueck of the Social Democratic Party in the Commerzbank Building.

-- Visit, with the first lady, the Schloss Charlottenburg, to be welcomed by Merkel and her spouse, Joachim Saur, for an official photo and attend a dinner.

-- Depart Germany for Washington.
