TRENTON, N.J., June 18 (UPI) -- A Trenton, N.J., cab driver found dead in his taxi about 10 miles southwest of the city was a homicide victim, police said Monday.

Investigators identified the victim as Larry Hamilton, 49, who had worked for Yellow Cab in Trenton for more than 10 years, WPVI-TV in Philadelphia reported. His body was discovered at about 2 a.m. Sunday in Burlington, N.J., downriver on the Delaware from Trenton.

Hamilton was last seen leaving the train station in Trenton with a passenger, police said.

Investigators did not release a cause of death. They said Hamilton had a wound on the side of his head, and the passenger side window of his taxi was broken.

Other cab drivers said Hamilton was divorced and the father of adult children.

Rigauri Adrian, who called Hamilton "a cool guy," said a driver was killed in 2002.

"He was a good person. Always laughing with people, playing music in his car. He was a good person," Jude Jean told WPVI.
