Collision with parked car in Chicago kills man leaning out of vehicle

CHICAGO, June 17 (UPI) -- Chicago police said a man died when he collided with a parked car while leaning out of a moving car.

Investigators said Orlando Mayo Jr., 30, of Burnham, was pronounced dead Sunday night after he leaned out the front passenger window of a red 1987 Chevrolet Caprice and his body hit the parked car, the Chicago Tribune reported Monday.

Mayo was ejected from the car, which struck another parked vehicle while fleeing the scene, police said.

The incident was under investigation.

It was unclear Monday how many people were inside the Caprice or whether its driver has been identified by police.
