The incident occurred at a Waffle House restaurant about 4 a.m. Friday, WKMG-TV, Orlando, reported.
The vehicle was parked outside the restaurant, when its driver drove it into the building for an unknown reason, Brevard County Fire Rescue Lt. Donnie Slayman said, adding the driver then reversed the vehicle and sped off.
Four adults in the restaurant, ranging in age from 19 to 48, suffered minor injuries. One was a mother with a 1-year-old child. The mother was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and the child was injured by not hospitalized, Slayman said.
Police are seeking the driver, reporting the vehicle, an SUV, should have significant front end damage.
The Brevard County building inspector declared the restaurant safe for use, WFTV-TV, Orlando, reported.
