NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif., May 20 (UPI) -- A 10-year-old girl watching television was killed in a burst of gunshots fired at her family's North Highlands, Calif., home, police said.

Elvira Campos died and her parents, Ernesto Campos and Imelda Tinoco, were injured and expected to recover, The Sacramento (Calif.) Bee reported Monday.

"All the people injured were innocent victims," said Scott Swisher, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department homicide detective. "There are no disputes we are aware of at this time. We believe the suspects came to the location in a vehicle, and we don't yet have a description."

Police said the young girl was sitting on a love seat watching television Saturday when at least seven shots were fired at the house.

Two of Elvira's brothers were not injured in the attack -- a 14-year-old who was working on a computer in another room and a 20-year-old who wasn't home at the time -- the newspaper said.
