The fire, referred to as the Grand fire, has involved more than 1,400 fire fighters since it began Wednesday near the village of Frazier Park in Kern County, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Hungry Valley State Park is currently being threatened by the fire, and roads leading in and out of the park are closed, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention said.
The most active front of the fire is in Ventura County's Los Padres National Forest where brush and grass have been burned, fire officials said late Thursday.
