Man sentenced on child porn charge, had hidden cameras in home

CAMDEN, N.J., May 14 (UPI) -- A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for producing child pornography with cameras installed in his Budd Lake, N.J., home, court documents said.

Ronald Oshrin, 50, agreed to the plea agreement in December after his arrest in April 2012 for illegally producing 85 video recordings and about 1,022 photographs with nine secretly installed cameras, from 2007 to 2012, of nine young girls undressing, showering and using the bathroom, prosecutors said.

The cameras were equipped to focus in on the private parts of the victims being photographed, The (Newark) Star-Ledger reported.

One of the girls, now 19, was Oshrin's daughter, his lawyer, James Patton, said.

Oshrin, a computer consultant, admitted to distributing the videos and photographs on the Internet, authorities said.

The sentence Monday in Camden federal court was the minimum Oshrin could receive under statutory rules for the crime of production of child pornography, Patton said after the hearing.
