Limo driver accused of driving teens to prom while drunk

GLEN ELLYN, Ill., May 12 (UPI) -- A limo driver from Illinois has been accused of being drunk when he drove 23 teenagers in a party bus to their high school prom, officials said.

Richard L. Madison, 54, of Palos Hills, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless conduct on Saturday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The teens became alarmed by Madison's driving and called their parents, who then alerted two off-duty police officers providing security for the prom.

Madison was booked and held at the DuPage County Jail.
