EMHOUSE, Texas, May 12 (UPI) -- Two men drowned when a small fishing boat overturned in a Texas watering pond but four children were rescued, authorities said.

One of the children, a 2-year-old, was hospitalized following the 6 p.m. Saturday accident in a stock tank near Emhouse, the Corsicana Daily Sun reported. The condition of the child, who was flown to a Dallas hospital, was not known.

The men who drowned were 25 and 43 years old and from the Dallas area, Justice of the Peace Connie Hickman said. They apparently died trying to find the 2-year-old, she said.

The other three children were pulled from the water without injury.

The names of the victims had not been released.

Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner said the six victims were in a 14-foot aluminum boat that tipped over.
