PITTSBURGH, May 8 (UPI) -- Former Pittsburgh Steeler Russell Stuvaints pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and resisting arrest in an incident in McKeesport, Pa., court records said.

Stuvaints, 32, was handcuffed in Alleghany County Common Pleas Court Tuesday after he arrived late for his court date. He received two years' probation, the McKeesport Daily News reported.

A member of the Steelers' team that won Super Bowl XL after the 2005 season, Stuvaints was arrested in July when he allegedly threatened a woman and fought with two police officers who ordered him to leave the area, then subdued him with a stun gun, the newspaper said.
