GREENVILLE, Texas, May 7 (UPI) -- An uncle of a 16-year-old North Texas girl killed and left in a trunk in November has been arrested in her death, officials say.

Michael Vincent Moore, 57, was arrested at his home in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie and charged with capital murder in the death of Alicia Moore, WFAA-TV, Dallas, reported Tuesday.

The Greenville teenager disappeared the afternoon of Nov. 2 after getting off a school bus. Her body was found four days later, stuffed inside a trunk left along a rural road.

Van Zandt County officials had initially classified the teen as a runaway because of previous incidents in which she had briefly left home.

The case eventually got national attention that prompted the offer of a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Michael Moore was in the Van Zandt County jail in lieu of $10 million bond.
