Colorado Springs police seek man in alleged pepper spray attack

May 6, 2013 at 4:50 PM

COLORADO SPRINGS, May 6 (UPI) -- A man in Colorado Springs, Colo., is being sought for allegedly attacking a group of 13-year-old boys with pepper spray, police said.

The four boys were at a playground Sunday, and one got into an argument with an 8-year-old boy. The youngest boy may have been assaulted before leaving, a police news release said.

Several minutes later, an unidentified man pulled up in a car, and a woman passenger yelled obscenities at the group. The driver then approached the boys, chastised them for attacking his son and sprayed them with pepper spray before driving away, police said.

Medical first responders treated the boys' injuries at the scene, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported Monday.
