Federal authorities were called to the home of a Saudi military diplomat Tuesday and "removed two potential trafficking victims," U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Brandon Montgomery told CNN.
The women, who are from the Philippines, currently work at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, a State Department official said. They told authorities their passports were taken by the diplomat and they worked extremely long hours without pay.
The official said there were no signs the women were physically abused.
The Saudi Embassy has not commented on the case, which is being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, a unit within ICE, CNN said.
