Carnell Moore fires shot, then shoots himself at Houston airport

HOUSTON, May 2 (UPI) -- The FBI identified the man who killed himself Thursday at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport as 29-year-old Carnell Moore.

Moore shot himself in the head after firing into the air with an assault rifle, The Beaumont (Texas) Enterprise reported.

Moore was confronted by federal agents before shooting himself at about 1:35 p.m. A suicide note was found in a backpack, NBC News reported.

The incident occurred in Terminal B near a ticket counter.

Inbound traffic to the airport was delayed due to the incident.
