PHOENIX, April 24 (UPI) -- Jodi Arias, on trial in Phoenix in the death of her ex-boyfriend, went from tears to blank stares as video evidence was presented at her trial.

Arias wiped away tears Tuesday as a video showed her with her head in Travis Alexander's lap and a picture of Alexander playfully kissing her. But she was totally dispassionate as another ex-girlfriend, Deanna Reid, told the court that she had never been verbally of physically abused by Alexander when she was in a relationship with him, ABC News reported.

Arias, 32, is charged with stabbing Alexander 27 times and slashing his throat before shooting him in his Mesa, Ariz., home in 2008 and faces a possible death penalty if convicted.

Initially she denied killing Alexander, 30, but two years later changed her story claiming self-defense. Prosecution witness Dr. Janeer DeMarte testified last week Arias was a victim of domestic abuse and had borderline personality disorder.

The defense claims Alexander, a Mormon, was in an abusive sexual relationship with Arias in the months before he was slain and that Arias suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.
