Virginia teen convicted for making sex tape

SPRINGFIELD, Va., April 19 (UPI) -- A Virginia judge convicted a teenage boy for recording videos of girls having sex with him without their knowledge.

The teen, whose name was not reported, was convicted Thursday on two felony counts of unlawful filming, but was acquitted of distribution of child pornography and another charge, NBC News reported.

He and two other boys were accused of recording several sex tapes with girls their age. The two other boys pleaded guilty to unlawful filming but the third fought the charges, NBC News reported.

His attorney said the girls involved in the sex acts on tape knew there was a chance they could be recorded.

One 17-year-old girl in the videos testified she had made it clear to the boy she did not want to be recorded.

The teen boy is a student at West Springfield High School in Springfield, Va., NBC said.

The teen's possible sentence for the crime was not reported.
