Shallow 3.0 earthquake shakes California

COBB, Calif., April 18 (UPI) -- A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook Cobb, Calif., the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The shallow quake took place at 7:04 p.m. local time Wednesday at a depth of 1.2 miles, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The epicenter was 13 miles from Clearlake, 14 miles from Healdsburg, 17 miles from Windsor and 72 miles from Sacramento, the USGS said.

There have been two other earthquakes magnitude 3.0 or greater in nearby areas in the past 10 days, the Times reported.
