INDIANAPOLIS, April 10 (UPI) -- Eight hairstylists in Indiana are battling over a $9 million lottery jackpot, with the woman who bought the ticket saying she did not get it for the group.

A judge ruled March 1 that the Indiana Lottery cannot pay the jackpot to Christina Shaw until the dispute is resolved, USA Today reported. A hearing is scheduled Tuesday before Marion County Superior Court Judge Heather Welch.

The stylists at Lou's Creative Styles in Lawrence, Ind., took turns buying lottery tickets. The others in the group say there was an unwritten rule that the person buying the tickets could not buy any others that week.

Shaw says she was never told that.

The winning ticket was one of a group of four Shaw purchased at the same time. Three, including the winner, were quick picks chosen by the computer at random, while the fourth included Shaw's personal numbers. She said she made two other purchases of lottery tickets the same day with the group's money.
