MINNEAPOLIS, April 8 (UPI) -- A Minnesota airport baggage handler was arrested after he was caught on tape stealing $84,000 in valuables from passengers' luggage, prosecutors said.
David Vang, 23, an employee at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, was accused of taking items including guns, jewelry and watches and sticking them in his backpack, ABC News reported Sunday.
Vang faces 11 felony theft counts, prosecutors said.
An airport employee in New York was also accused of wrongdoing.
Marcelino Aponte of Delta Airlines was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport for allegedly breaching security.
Authorities said Aponte, 31, was prevented by TSA officials from getting on his flight to Orlando, Fla., because he didn't have a boarding pass.
Aponte then bypassed metal detectors by using his airport security badge to enter locked areas and board his plane, authorities said.
Aponte was arrested when his flight landed in Orlando.
