Fla. man accused of threatening Obama

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla., April 6 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they have arrested a man charged with threatening to kill President Barack Obama and everyone working in a local sheriff's department.

Stanley S. Viner, 48, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., is charged with threatening a public servant and intimidation by sending a threat to kill or injure.

The department didn't say exactly what threats were made in an email, but WBBH-TV, Fort Meyers, Fla., said the obscene nature made them unfit for publication.

Officials said Viner was angry about an encounter with a neighbor who is a sheriff's deputy. Viner was arrested Friday by the department and claimed deputies stole his backpack, which the department denies.

He was being held on $200,000 bond.
