Suspect in Clements shooting arrested

COLORADO SPRINGS, April 5 (UPI) -- A member of a white supremacist group was arrested Friday in connection with the shooting death of Colorado prisons chief Tom Clements, police said.

James Franklin Lohr, 47, was being held by Colorado Springs police, El Paso County, Colo., Sheriff Jeff Kramer said. Police said earlier this week Lohr was wanted for questioning in connection with Clements' death.

Lohr was one of two members of the 211 Crew prison gang sought as persons of interest in connection with the March 19 slaying at Clements' home. Police are still looking for Thomas James Goulee, 31, who is believed to be armed and dangerous, ABC reported.

The Denver Post said Lohr and Goulee are believed to be connected to Evan Ebel, a white supremacist suspected of killing Clements. Ebel, released from prison in January, died March 21 after he was wounded in a shootout with police and sheriff's deputies in Texas.
