LITTLE ROCK, Ark., April 1 (UPI) -- One person died and at least eight people were injured in a maintenance accident at the Arkansas Nuclear One plant in Pope County, state health officials said.
The Arkansas Department of Health said the accident occurred Sunday in a turbine building away from the reactor and no one was endangered by possible radiation or pollution, KATV-TV, Little Rock, reported.

The accident happened when a crane fell while moving a large generator, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission said.
Entergy Arkansas said in a statement one employee was killed and eight others were taken to a nearby hospital, where two remained hospitalized Sunday night.
