March 31, 2013 at 3:56 PM

AUBURN, Wash., March 31 (UPI) -- Police in Washington state said three people were killed and one was critically wounded in a shootout outside a sports bar early Sunday.

Auburn, Wash., police said they were interviewing one "person of interest" Sunday, though no charges have been filed.

Witnesses told KOMO-TV, Seattle, a fight broke out between a large group of people leaving the Sports Page, a sports bar in Auburn, when shots rang out.

Officers responding to the scene said it was difficult in the chaos to determine how many people had been involved and conceded more victims could have fled, Auburn police Cmdr. Mike Hirman said.

All the victims were in their 20s, police said.
