GATES, N.Y., March 26 (UPI) -- A western New York mother pleaded innocent to charges she allegedly put her 2-year-old son in a clothes dryer and turned on the machine.
Jasmine Brown is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, said Sgt. Daniel Perl of the Gates police department in Monroe County.

Perl told the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper in Rochester, N.Y., the toddler wasn't in the dryer for no more than 30 seconds before a woman intervened Saturday.
Brown is being held on $50,000 bail.
