PARK CITY, Utah, March 23 (UPI) -- Mitt Romney sent out an email inviting U.S. business executives and Republican politicians to a conference in Utah this summer.
The email, obtained by the Los Angeles Times, solicited "political, business and other thought leaders" to get together at a Utah resort for a get-together sponsored by Solamere, an investment firm founded by his son, Tagg, and 2012 campaign finance chairman Spencer Zwick.
The Times said the guest list was expected to include Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Both are potential 2016 presidential candidates.
There were no details on the agenda for the Park City conference; however, the Times said networking among politicians and high-end GOP donors would likely be a major part of the event.
Romney is chairman of the Solamere executive committee and has been looking for a role in Republican politics and the corporate world since his unsuccessful run for president last year, the Times said.
