JERSEY CITY, N.J., March 21 (UPI) -- A New York man and his girlfriend were arrested for allegedly plotting to start a babysitting business as a cover to sexually abuse children, police said.

Bebars Baslan, 35, and his girlfriend, Kristen Henry, 25, both of Brooklyn, were arrested at a hotel in Jersey City, N.J., Tuesday night, New York Daily News said.

An FBI agent learned from a confidential source informant that the couple was in possession of child pornography and planned to start the babysitting business, NY1 reported.

The informant was supposed to bring three young children to the Jersey hotel for the couple, NY1 said, but authorities arrived instead and arrested the pair on charges of crossing state lines with the intention of engaging in sexual acts with minors.

The informant also provided authorities with secretly taped conversations in which Baslan allegedly said he wanted to drug the children with Benadryl and Dramamine before sexually abusing them.

Prosecutors will now present their case to a grand jury to determine whether Baslan and Henry should be indicted, NY1 said.

Both are being held without bail.
