CLEVELAND, March 19 (UPI) -- A Cleveland mother has pleaded not guilty to charges she threatened to shoot employees at her son's elementary school.

Aukenia Mason, 30, pleaded not guilty to charges of inciting panic and telecommunications harassment in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Monday, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer said. Mason had several encounters with school personnel at Nathan Hale Elementary School regarding her son.

She threatened to "shoot up" the building after the boy's teacher took the child out of class because he hadn't finished a writing assignment. She made similar threats to a secretary, police said.

Mason was arrested while sitting in a van parked in a handicapped zone outside the school. She was not armed.

Mason is free on $20,000 bond.
