NEW YORK, March 17 (UPI) -- A young New York City recycling truck worker was crushed to death Saturday when he was caught in the vehicle's compacter, police said.
Police said Luis Camarillo, 18, was killed as the truck made a drop-off at a recycling plant shortly before 10:30 a.m., the New York Daily News reported.

Witnesses told the newspaper it appeared Camarillo was caught by the hydraulic door as it came down and it crushed his midsection.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was investigating the accident.
