WASHINGTON, March 16 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama will headline fundraising events for Democratic candidates from California next month, officials said.

The president will travel to the Bay Area in early April to attend two days of fundraisers for House and Senate candidates, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

The schedule includes a $5,000-per-person cocktail reception to benefit the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and a $32,500-per-person dinner hosted by philanthropists Ann and Gordon Getty -- both in San Francisco April 3. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who represents San Francisco, will be in attendance at the events.

Obama is committed to attending 14 fundraisers for Democratic committees in 2013, 10 of which are outside of Washington, the newspaper said.
